If it was a Schwing I would say a great deal. I have never operated a Pumpstar so I cant say. What are they like?

No they are open and you can get all the parts you need.

It is a good deal if you have concrete to pump.

Yea Pumpstar is closed. They do not build or mount other pumps under the Pumpstar name any longer. One former Employee of PUmpstar is selling parts for Pumpstar pumps.

The booms were built by Antonelli so parts for those are around from many sources here in the states. The pump is a copy of Reich so you can get many of those parts as well and there are commone Rexroth and other names on the pump you can source many places. You do not need pumpstar parts for this pump for sure. YOu can get some good deals on these parts from other sources in these times.

Worried about parts. Well? the hardest part in town now adays are Schwing parts. This is the single saddest thing in our industry is the Schwing situation. Great product and a dynamic company at one time was Schwing. Hope they rise above this soon and beat the odds. They are a huge part of our industry here.

Was the pumpstar a good deal??? Hell Yea if you have the work for it. Not a big volume pump but it will pump concrete. Again. You do not need Pumpstar to get parts for it.

Tom what year did they change over from the Riech design and started building Everdigm?

I ran a 33m Riech and a friend of mine has a 37m. They weren't bad pumps, they were fairly tuff! I never got my hands on a PumpStar, I've heard I haven't been missing out on much...

TT   I believe 2008 Pumpstar stopped building and sourced out to Everdigm. That was just a jew pumps though becuase of the slow down in the industry.

May have been late 07 and introduced at WOC 08

Well if you are going on who is making new pumps there are not to many pump manufactures left.

Ordered parts from Pumpstar 2 days ago talked to the same people, used the same phone number and they had parts on hand.

You are correct about the parts. Parts Only. They are not building, servicing or marketing any new sales of pumps. Blue Tee the parent owner to Pumpstar has divested from Pumps completely. They let the number and association continue with this employee so the customers would be able to source. Not a bad thing.

A former employee took that parts on himself. Not a bad thing and for Pumpstar owners it is good. But there are many sources of these parts from many places. ALso not a bad thing for choice and price for the pumpstar customers.

The pump in question on the sale sheet shown is still from the Reich Design and specs. So you have parts from Waitzinger, Klein, Reich and many pirate parts in Turkey, Germany, Korea that in many cases fit this pump. Especially wear parts. Boom is an Antonelli so parts can be had from several places here as well.

That is good also for the pumpstar owners. You really have a choice. These parts from these other sources have proved to be of good quality and make. They have been making them for many years. It is an older generation pump so parts have been in the industry for many years as well.

That is a good thing. good luck to the buyer. I hope he makes nothing but profit with the pump
