blew the deck pipe at the start of a 200m pour, 2 X 90 bends and flex and off we go. Not ideal but it got the job going until J.B. came with a replacement pipe.

I am new to pumping concrete and would like to know how to avoid the deck pipe from leaking ? Or blowing out ?

Well when you hit the pipe with the handle of your hammer...it's supposed to make a high pitch ding sort of noise. If it makes a thud....replace it. And as far as leaking...do you mean at the clamps? If so just replace the gasket. If it's leaking from the pipe itself your damn lucky it hasn't blown yet and you need to replace it. It's also a good idea to rotate your deck pipe a quarter turn every 50000 er so yards and ull get a little more life put of them.
