I probably should of asked this before winter is over but here it goes. Has anybody replaced the water warmer in the water tank that uses your engine antifreeze to warm it? Mine rusted through late last year, (lost my antifreeze in my water tank on the job while pumping). All you have are 2 12 inch access holes on the top, I don't know how you would be able to do it? Is that something that is installed at the factory before the box is welded shut?

I ran pumps for years with hot water. Steam is always a problem. The hot water on my pump has never worked! Tried a bunch of stuff it is just not in the cards. I don't mind. The no steam thing is GREAT! I drain my hose when I am finished each job and I have had no problems in two winters.

I don't know what you have install in your pump but mine never got hot enough to make steam. If I would fill it up with cold in the morning it would barley get luke warm, no steam. I have got water at ready mix plants before and get that HOT water that give you alot of steam, I know what you mean there.

Not all in tank heaters are created equal. Contact Keith @ Alliance if you like for info on that system. Uses a small corrosion proof bundle that threads into the tank through a 2"npt mounting (simple is best). Creates enough water tank heat so as to be too much, and ball valves are provided to tone down the flow for desired level of heating, plus engine protection should a leak occur.

  • If you want warm water. Copper pipe, a few fittings, and heater hose. 2 hours and you will have warm water. Your cost about $80.00 + your time.
  • If you suck at soldering...(like me).. they sell stuff that works like solder (apply on wait 1 hour copper is bonded) stuff works good (no leaks yet...)

I do all my heating fittings myself now. C*n#rd charged $1500.00 for them to do it and both my C8n#rds leaked and I had to redo it.

It takes no effort at all but works great.
