Nice photo's. I had to do that same operation on my 305 s tube line pump a few times. But its only a 5" S tube. Its good to get it apart once a year to check it all out. On mine the rear grease bushing was bad and the tube was rocking.                 I bet that s tube weighed a few pounds.

it was a complete bitch to do. you got to take every thing of the back ,even the bush housing. there is only couple  of mil to play with . ive done a few on putzmeisters there easy compared to sermac . the new one is extra hard wearing so dont think ill ear it out. the company that had the pump before me must of been pumping grinding disks to wear it out like it had. its only done 1300 hours

Yeah it sucks working in the cold by yourself. A warm shop and a fork lift would have been nice. I finally built a shop last year and love it. Being able to tear apart the ass end and rebuild, is essential when owning a pump. (you obviously are  mechanical).PS: Oh i just realised this is your new pump. Nice unit just takes a while to get them up to par.

i am thinking the previous firm has lied to you about tthe hours the pump worked, maybe they asked a mecanic to change the hours in the computerpart of the pump or installed another counter on it? you can only go so far in pumping harsh mixes after that you can't push it anymore.
