What cuts have you employees taken in these times? I've heard of lost drive time and cuts in benefits in my area. Just curious as to what's going on in other areas. I'm averaging about 5hrs. a day lately(paid). Our company has taken our return travel away from us, it's about 8 hrs. a week we lost and sometimes more. Any similar stories?

Guys I know things are tough but it you are driving the company boom pump back from a job then you should get paid, the fellow that works for me has told me just to pay him one way  but I told him to don't worry about me if you are riding with me you get paid, a thought for you would be just drive out do the job and leave the truck and get some one to take you home Thats to bad the owner doesn't care to much about his equipment.

I understand that the company also has a lot less money coming in, but it's kind of insulting to see the owner buying toys and taking vacations while his operators are putting time in and not being compensated for it. There are a few guys who are most likely going to lose there homes this year. Our operators still take excellent care of their pumps, if your pump goes down you definetly aren't workng that next day.

to the higher ups we are a dime a dozen one day they may wake up and understand that we are not for alot of years ive been around shity operators that dont care about the customer or the companys equipment and they are the guy that the boss loves and the operator who excells is the one that is overlooked all you can do is keep hammering it out for yourself this is a thankless business so we do what we can to make ourselves happy keep your chin up and prey for a better tomorow for only you pump it out

Times are hard and we all know that. I think that a lot of times employers let go of employees without thinking about tomorrow. When things are slow one week, they lay off an operator and then a couple weeks later when things speed up, they are in trouble and don't have any operators. I had my pay cut tremendously! I love the work but I don't know how much longer I can deal with it!!!!!!
