Hello everybody,

I need to buy a pump on a trailer that can mix concrete or pump the ready mix from a truck. What should be the best machine for this job???

Is better a machine like P88 Schwing or a Brinkmann DC 260-45 or Putzmeister m750?

Thanks for helping

What kind of work do you do? Commercial or residential? Does it have to be a trailer pump?

Ask for written service records, always check the clarity of the hydraulic oil, bring someone familiar with pumps.

Yes it need to be a triler pump and it will be used most for residetial work up to 7m3.

There is some difference between a hydrolic pump or a compressor pump or they do the same work?

Have you considered working for someone to learn ?

Fluids cannot be compressed, but displaced, hence displaced hydraulic fluid will dislace a semi-liquid substance, such as concrete,or mud.     In turn gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, helium can be compressed to extreme amounts,20,000....50,000...100,000 psi which will not displace objects unless ignited,i.e. an automobile.I guess on paper a concrete pump could "push" the material after internal combustion in the reciprocating main cylinders, but umpractical. An experiment, get a hydrostatically tested gas cylinder and compresss normal breathing air to 5000 psi with no relief,no problem.       Stand back now,try and compress drinking water to 5000 psi with no relief in the same bottle,I think fragmentation is the operative word...When you do buy a concrete pump, remember   grout first then concrete     Priority #1 your safety   Priority# 2 other peoples safety

If I undersatnd you are looking to place dry pack to set tile in. You need a floor screed machine like the Putzmeister Mixokret or a Brinkmann. Putzmeister owns Brinkman as well. These are pneumatic machines that place a small amount of dry pack in the line and then place air behind it, then more material, more air, etc. They are not marketed in the US. Very common in Europe. Not used for wet, plastid concrete, just very dry "mortar" or floor screed material which is typlcal in Europe or to set tile in. There are other manufacturers I believe but I think PM and Brinkmann are the main players. Someone in the EU would know better.

Thanks Doug

do you think this kind of machine can also pump the materiel strait from a truck so in this case the "liquid" one?

No.  The Mixokret pneumatic system is a batch processing pressure pot.  It is strictly for site mixing and anhydrite style floor screed.  If you want to pump and lay a liquid gypsum or cement based floor screed you will need a different style machine.  In France they often use a Purzmeister SP11 BHF rotor/stator for placing floor screed directly from a mixer truck.  The only unit I have seen that does both are those truck mounted Transmix systems.  The closest US comparrison would be they are a volumetric mixer for floor screed.
