The first few with 3 booms have reducers and than a safety strap connected to the hose. I am going to change that to just a tip hose but i wanted to show you guys what i got so far. These are not final I am just putting out some of what we are working on for your comments. Now please remember we are going to change the reducer to a tip hose so dont get all uppity about it, I hope by Monday night we will have the tip hose on the stickers. What i would like to know is what sticker you would most like to have on your hard hat and on your pump.

I have a couple of thoughts about our new tip hose safety sticker.

1.    This is all about information. It is important that a clear message is conveyed

2.    If we are creative we can hit a couple of issues with one sticker

Perhaps this needs to be taken to its most basis form.

Not ‘no fittings’ – Not ‘no couplings’ – Not no ‘whatever’

What we want is a clean end of a rubber hose: hose only = NO METAL. We could have two of those red circles with a slash, the international NO sign

One with a double coupled hose

One with a double 90

And the MESSAGE:

PUMP IT LIKE THE PROs

NO METAL ON YOUR DISCHARGE HOSE

That would convey in words and in pictorial form our complete message

Actual – factual – message – instruction – warning

It is too hard to find a sponsor for this type of project to not address this issue to its maximum extent. One safety sticker that is dedicated to not only the double ended hose but the people killing devices that people clamp to it is a double win deal.

Lets not miss this opportunity to make the pumping industry safer and also give the sponsor their moneys worth. ;~)

I like the top 2, but there's plenty of Orange stickers all stuck up as is. The square corner stickers tend to peel off. Go with round or oval.(Damn, no stick-man gett'n ragg-dolled)

I like none of them.

They do not have a visual message.

I agree with the round or oval choice.  The top two are the most eye catching.

I also agree with Bob, we need it to be to the point so you don't have to stop and read it.

How about   " METAL KILLS"  "USE RUBBER TIPS" right across the middle?  It would get attention.  Pump like the pro's, and concretepumping.com, could be top and bottom or wrapped all the way around the outside one after the other and repeated.

Many of the more effective safety stickers have a pictorial representation of the subject matter. Like the universal circle with the cross slash = NO. That type of symbolism with the excluded or non-allowed device within tells, without words or language the thought that is to be conveyed. It serves as a pictorial message; dont do this.

If these representative immages were incorporated within the overall sticker it would greatly add to the effect.

I have to agree with you Bob, keep it simple, not to take away from Todd's hard work, but the international circle with a slash is what we need.

A picture of a metal end on a hose in acircle with a red slash should suffice. Additional text could accompany it then to add clarification.

Todd, all designs and colors work well..... but if i had to pick one of em i'd take the oval top two style of sticker.  Preferrable the black one.

If my hard-hat had a sticker with a metal end in a circle slash It would be telling everyone something they already know... I dont do hose (lol) Dont ask dont tell policy. (Dont ask me, dont tell me)
