Here is the last of the great old videos that I have. I hope you enjoy it. First pump is a 1954 boom pump that pumps pea gravel 3/8" rock.

Priceless, hehe Men had strong backs in those days. I remember being a kid, and the only one willing to dive into the sqeeze pump to replace hoses, what 1976 or so maybe later, never guessed I would still be pumping today.

Back then it was a glory job and big money for a kid.

Thompson . "You mean I have to put the boom together" . Born in 58 so I didn't get see the good stuff. I grew up with vintage 70' s stuff . I think top dog was whiteman at that time until schwing beat them to death with the 800/28. The fisrt pump I soloed on was a schwing TCB -50 . Then ran a 3550 schweing trailer . There are others that in have run. Econo placer , squeeze crete , case trailer, elba , yeager. . I think the worst part at the time was the victarlic clamps and system. All said I am training a new operator to run a 39x and told him to take a shovel to level out the dirt for a outrigger pad and he cryied . All I can say is hats off to all vintage pumpers who are still around and able to teach newcombers.
