Hey just wondering if people could share their thoughts/explain why this might be happening, uneven wear on the reduction cones.

Looks like the S-tube is swinging over to far. have a look at the cutting ring to see if it is showing more wear on one side. This will usually happens on the same side because the s-tube shift cyl's  are out of adjustment.

Thats uite an uneven wear! Twist them 180* and you are good again ;-)
