I saw you have pics of an Ashmore pump on your profile. Do you work for them? If so I'm guessin your out of charleston because its a 47. I work at SRS for Baker Concrete and we have Ashmore come in a lot to back us up out of the Augusta location.

I worked for ashmore in the columbia office. The pic you see is a 43z not much different in my book. I did work for a company called cmp out of charlotte running a 47z in columbia. But yes I do know everybody over at ashmore.

Ya. Mainly see Scott in the 63 and BB in the 52. They normally will just come and hang out all day then the pour cancels for some stupid reason. Ashmore makes a lot of money off of us

Yeah Jerry and Ray love it when that happens. Last time I talked to bb he was in columbia pouring a footing. Hadn't seen scott in a while. I bet he is loving that 63???????????

Ya he is. For a while there I was seeing scott twice a week. Been a few weeks now. Things on our job have slowed to a crawl. Why do you no longer work for ashmore?

I was recruited by cmp, garanteed 40, 3 dollar raise, plus insurance. Ashmore didnt have garanteed 40 (while i was there) or insurance, and I have five kids. It was a no brainer.

To make a long story short, arrived on the job 700 yard apartment slab. no biggie drop in the bucket. well start to prime out mud looks good then all the sudden pump plugs main section pipe blows. needless to say i spent the next 1hr 45 min patching the pipe on main section and cleaning the boulders out of tip section ended up taking a piece of pipe off that was 3/4 full of concrete to clean it out picked up to much at one time been at home ever since. doctor has released me to work but we all know the story about getting hurt at work.

I am very sorry to hear that. That is very rough. Not exactly the same but I was in 2 car wrecks within a month of each other. I could not work for a while and hated every second of it. I wish you luck wish I knew of something for you

I am looking at it as a blessing as best I can. There have been so many things that I have had to not participate in (ie* games, church, dinner) because "Daddy only has a couple of hours to sleep". I have had a lot of time with my family, and seen that I am not the only one that works to make our family run smooth. I have been able to see my daughter grow in a way I havent' been able to with the older ones, and now they are comfortable asking me to do things with them without expecting me to say no. And my wife and I have really gotten closer through this. You learn quickly who really cares about you when the going gets rough. She has supported me, and has even agreed to move to the other side of the earth so I can pump. So I'm pretty lucky!

Ya pumping concrete can be hell. I grew up with the father that was always pumping concrete or something to do with running his business then became a pumper myself and have now been from one side of the country to the other and some places in the middle. I know a while back a company out of greenville south carolina was looking for help but I don't remember who it was. I will shoot you a message with my number give me a call sometime not positive how soon it would be but I may have an opportunity for you.

I had such high hopes for working for Ashmore. They are why I finally left Pumpco. Such a slower pace working there. Not sure when I get out where I will go from here, but Ray will definatly get a call. So will Pudg in LA and Ramcrete and Pumpcrete. Those as far as I can tell are the ones to get with for good working conditions. NOT to say that others arent good, I just been doing a bit of homework about those three.
