Learning curve is big find you some good mix designs and stay with them, batch plants don't think pumpers no anything if they would just listen, our job would be easy, and don't be affaid to stand up for what you need, cause the customer no's nothing about pumping and you are between the mixer truck and the placing crew, and if it want pump you and only you will get the blame, what size hose are you pumping threw.

Your pump is it a S-tube or Ball valve.

Hi again, I was in the readymix side of the industry, but thought it was time for a change. I am in northamptonshire. The pump is a mecbo pulsar 2007 (i think)mounted on an iveco daily chassis. im pretty sure its a s-tube. i have only been going about 5 weeks but i am learning on every job. the pic aint great but its all i have at the moment!

You'll get the hang of it before you know it. Just remember to learn everyday your doing it. Prime fast, Suck back slow. All else fails water is your best friend. Dont be scared to use alot of it.
