Dude, Now you need to cut all that duct tape away from the safety strap and remove the double ended hose and clamp-up an anti whip hose on that bad boy.

bob those are my pics(thanks todd for posting them for me) but in our defense the last pour done out of that boom was done with a shut off valve pouring small columns on the roof. we didnt see the need in changing it before it went back to the shop. |

When are you boys putting on air cuffs? They replace the last excuse for the double ended hose. Who pressure washed the "E" off of the boom |

I did not realize that the power packs had thier own air compressor to run air cuffs.......must be a new update or something. Last I checked, it is a electric motor, kinda hard to run a air cuff off of that. |

A company that does that work on a regular basis has a compressor right there incase something/anything goes wrong. |

thank you so much todd u did a great job on everything! next pour we make on our building i will take more pics and e-mail them to you to post. and bob you will see that there is no double ended hose on MY placing boom! these pics were on another jobsite that my company topped out. another thing i would not make excuses for another operator bieng unsafe. when i say that the double ended hose is there for a specific reason you will just have to trust that i am bieng truthful..... or not. the point is that i have noreason not to be. trust that i was the first one to ask them why it was on there. |

Hey Neb... Last I checked there was no such thing as a placing boom job that did'nt have an air compressor top side for blow down? Is'nt that one of the first things you check... that the air compressor works and is full of fuel? No air = No pour! Besides looking bad, I dont like a double ender bang'n around on my boom. Its hard on the paint! HA,HA... |

I feel that shut off valves have their place. We use them when pumping into wall valves filling from the bottom up. But as soon as we start to top off, the double ended comes off and the whip hose goes on. I know every application is different, but 90% of the decks I have done the compressor is on a floor below because there is no room to have it on the deck by you. That means that a air hose is ran up and tied off to the railing. A air cuff seems unusable is all I am saying. But I am sure that it has been done. |
