Was wondering if anybody had ever pumped a 3/4 mix through a 2.5" hose? I've got a 3/4 blend through a 2" with little trouble and my 3" handles 3/4 no problem, but I'm leary about trying the 2.5". |

lol wow, I mean that seems crazy to me, pea gravel and 2.5 hose is about it, You know its all good till someone loses an eye than nobody is laughing, but it sounds like you know and have pumped bigger rock in a small hose than me. Please let us know how it goes ok. |

Why would you want to try this I have pumped 3/4 through 2.5 hose but it was on accident and the only way we made it work was cut the 3/4 down by 75% to get started then add as we went by the way we were using a mobil mix truck I would not try this knowing ahead of time it is to easy to order grout or pea gravel |

i'm just curious to know how much system you are pushing it through and what type of pump you are using. |

The reason i want to do this is because of weight . If my customer want's 3/4, I'm going to pump 3/4, and the smaller the hose the lighter the hose. Obviously I would try and talk him into a smaller mix, but I won't lose a job because I refuse to pump 3/4. |

I have pushed a 3/4 blend mix through 250' of hose total, 125 was 2.5" and 125 was 2". My machine is a schwing P305. |

I can see how this might seem funny, but my pressures stay reasonable, and when I do plug a quick stroke back, and location of the plug have always been no problem and all goes smooth. |

we run a lot of half inch and it will go through a two inch line and we have a 3/4 X 3/8 that is just as good but i would run it through a 2.5 inch line. I got a boney 3/4 mix that would not go through the two inch line and when i put it to the wash hook that was 2 1/4 inch it would not go. seems like you are doing fine, keep it wet and moving-brian
