The operator is watching the top of the boom with no clue to what is happening with the hose. Good thing there is not a metal end.

Hey, the guy started it! He was hitting the hose with the shovel! The pump just finished it!

We used to have a rule.. Always keep an eye on the hose when its in your reach..

HAHA its funny but your right todd if there was a steel end it would have done some real damage... I cant understand why people want to grab the hose or stand next to it when you are trying to position it . why do people gravitate towards it ? no matter how many times you tell them to get out of the way they seem to think there invunrible to it hitting them........ Nothing pisses me off more then that, but as the saying goes " The road to hell was paved with the best intentions"

The reason they stand next to it is because they do not understand, they don't know how dangerous it is. They think they are getting ready to start. That is why we need to do a better job showing them why it's so dangerous.

the best is when the hose man chucks the hose away instantly turning his back to it, as though it's not going to come whipping straight back at him!... and of course it's always the operators fault...
