This happened because the drive shaft came loose and hit the fuel tank. Thankfully no one was hurt, but it looks to me that someone had a really bad day. |

I just got a call about this pump. The guy said that this pump had been to Mack a few times and the reason for the fire is not known at this time. It was not a drive shaft issure, more like a tranny issue. Any speculation at this point is just that, speculation. |

Well im happy to hear no one was injured. But WOW can these things ever burn hot !! Hopefully the owners insurance premiums were up to date and he will be out pumping again soon enough. Thanks for posting this extremly interesting picture. |
