If you drain the hose and all ballvalves (I have drill drain hole in the ballvalves) and fill the watertank with hotwater  (75-80 cellsius)  you can work 20-30 hour...

I filled My watertank (rearleg Schwing S42SX) with hotwater sunday afternoon drove 70 km to pouringplace (-8 cellsius)  and washed the pump on tuesdaymorning 06.00...

It was about 0 cellsius daytime and down to -8 to  -10 on mondaynight....

I dont have any heater in the tank....

hi guys here in northern canada in winter we still pump at -50 what we do we heat our water with our engine antifreeze or we wait till the last few mixers done cleanning there drums and fill our tank with the rest of there hot water. We insulate our pipes double wrap our jib because its the first one to freeze because most of the time its pointing down and there is no concrete in it(full pipe take longer too freeze). The hardest thing is priming in winter your pipes are frozen and the primer tend too freeze but its still fun!keep you on your toes and if its plugs you warm-up fixing it!!!!!

SUPER DAVE , first -50 F or -50 C ?

Prime with primer mixed with hotwater or just hotwater with some salt in...

And come to the building site 20-30 min earlier than usually and heat the pipes with the exhaust from the engien...

It works down to -25 celsius , is it colder outside We dont pump....

And get an aircuff so the mud stays in the pipe , put the endhose down in the mud and stop the pump , full endhose and pipes ! Works fine !

I have installed water heaters in many different water tanks on all kinds of pumps. We install a copper coil inside the tank through which we run hot engine coolant.KCP pumps sold in the US and Canada come from the factory with heaters

"taking a leak" contest? (striving for political correctedness).

Alliance offers in tank heater options for water tanks, outrigger cells, and hydraulic reservoirs, as many as you wish to have on board. Sure, what's so special about that, but if you consider the MP8 which has no auxialliary coolant conection ports, running individual circuits (rather than several heaters in series which runs out of heat as you move down the line) is available with full flow to each heater on the grid.

Pull your water hose and nozzle off and keep it in the cab between washouts. Never had a tank freeze on me yet.

I think that Alliance's factory installed water tank heaters are the answer. That is the kind of add-ons that a manufacturer should be putting on a machine. It is needed, it makes the operator's job easier and if and when they fail, and all mechanical things do fail sooner or later, the pump will still keep on pumping. Form following function.

Way to go Alliance! ;~)

And you can put the watertank in the cab if it going to be very cold.....

Vasa, that's humour right? (600-1000liters in the cab?). Unless your talking about a cab with sleeper - you could have a water bed.

Some bad humor... ;-)

I will have to remember this video. I have primed in some pretty cold mornings and crossing my fingers my boom isn't froze. I have seen alot of shwings without a priming port, Guess you can open the transition.

If you dont have a primeport , open the transition !
