I guess that by now it is no secret that there is a decline in the residential conctruction area. I am just curious as to how this has effected your work load. It would be appreciated if you could post the results in your area. I don't want to know what company you work for, just the market decline as a percent of what it was.

Like this; Atlanta is down by 40%

Thanks to those of you that help me with this non scientific survey. ;~)

the market has slowed down  here but home builders keep building. new houses sitting empty for over a year and still build new ones and prices not coming down.

same here in Birmingham, al. We just had a bunch of rookies quit, I thinking they might downsize a little since they have an opportunity now.

The housing market hasn't slowed down much here. At the end of this month we are starting 300 houseslabs at a local air force base. Then 3 months later we are doing another 300 at another air force base. People around here usually dont pump houses unless there isnt another option, I know there are building them because our placing company does about 5-6 sub-divisions a yr.

That is interesting Pumper Chuck. In Maine the housing market is slow and commercial is up. Good thing we are all use to being poor. When is the government going to start paying for the nations sea walls. That will be the next boom in concrete pumping.

I would like to see announcement of 50 new Nuke plants. That would equate to 300 or so pump operators making serious $$$

I agree, and just one nuke plant would be a major step in the right direction....
