Todays remit was to deliver a used 32m pump to a customer, show their operator the basics on the pump- pto legs, controls, boom etc then pick up their tired lookin 16m and bring it back, simple......

you just know its gonna be a long day when their op says hes self taught .....and why do you putting water in the wash box, the last pump never had any in.....

Unfortunatly there are things beyond ones control. To cover yoursellf make sure it's documented and copy sent to new owner "just cause".These are the things we hate to see.

to be fair on the guy , his boss just threw him in at the deep end, a case of you reckon you could drive it, then off you go!! so the problem lies further up in the chain of command, we offered to let him ride shotgun with us for a couple of days but it fell on deaf ears.

Many- you are right, sign here , and its all yours. very sad.

It just gets back to square one. This industry needs certification. Trainers telling you to come in within feet of power is crazy JJ. Mannufacture droped off our pump with 3 days or so of training and drove away. My partner and I just looked at ourselfs and went hmmmm?///

In the old days that's pretty much how things were done. So,I wouldn't think of sitting in judgement of this man.this was a choice the pump owner made, lets hope this new operator has an open mind.

Also, way back when we gathered after work at the local pub and shared lessons and stories. What I do see today is way to much ego,not the willingness to share as we did long ago.

Remember, some of the screw up's I did long ago. Some were so much fun I did them more than once.I won't cast the first stone, nor should anyone else.
