I know the rules have changed over the years (for us older people). How many years did you run pumps before you got to pop the cherry on your first new one? It took about 17 years of patience before I got mine,a 36x schwing.Man I was a top dog then. |

I was 21 years old and started on a mayco mechanical ball then to a hydrolic olin ball then to a olin swing tube, then at 36 years old bought the buis and in 2001 bought a 32m concord. what a awsome feeling, Just hope this rut starts going away soon! |

seven years. first time on a Z boom too. took a 40Z out that wasn't even registered yet. it was cool until i had to clean it. scraping concrete off a painted grate/hopper sucks! too all of the manufacturers who may read this, please stop painting the inside of the hoppers! |

Been pumping for 7 years and the only thing that I have come close to was a factory referb. from putz. I guess it was "like a virgin". A couple of cans of carb cleaner sprayed inside the hopper and letting it sit for a few hours takes that factory paint right off. |

It took me 7 years to get a brand spanking new pump. Now I've had 7 or 8 over the last 10 years? A couple of which the only job I ever did with them was the very first job out of the box. By my 3rd or 4th new machine I figured out that a "brand new" piece of iron can be more troublesome than an old one! A good friend of mine who helped train me when I first started (Jim Bones) had been pumping over 20 years and never had a brand new machine! So a few years ago I was scheduled to get a new Concrord 40m, Jim had hired on with us a year earlier and I was'nt looking forward to the stress and wash time of a new pump so I passed on it and let Jim have it. That was almost 4 years ago and that pump still looks like new! He takes better care of that pump than his own pick up! |

it took about three months to get the first pump. I had nothing to do with pumps, my brother inlow was working for a pumping company , told me about it, three months later I got a brand new 36m reed, it was uesd for 8 hours. but it had plastic all over the pipes. I guess lucky |

Yeah Many, His out look has now turned into look out! He was the president of the scrub-club long before he got a new machine, now he's down right obsessive! But I'll tell you what, that rig is almost 4 yrs old and is still ready for the town parade on any given weekend. |
