A customer wants to know to calculate the depreciation of the Mack chassis? He has 2008 and 2007, 2008 is an used one. Any help would be nice. |

You would have to have mileages,service records, % of tires, and so on I would contact a Mack dealer surely they could help you out. |

here is one for an engine: actual hrs./lifetime horus x average cost new liftime hrs for engine is ~15,000hrs before it needs to be rebuild reman Mack ASET engine is $22,000, at 7500 engine hrs you depreciate half the cost; you can probably apply this to the chassis as well btw, airplanes depreciate, they appreciate! |

Depreciation is just that. Do not know his schedule. CPA would be my best advise. |
