We had an unfortunate incident happen today. On the way home from the jobsite, one of our employees was driving our concrete pump truck when a huge chunk of ice blew off a passing semi and hit the windshield. Fortunately the driver as well as his pasenger was not injured! You can see where the ice hit, on the windshield directly in front of where he sits. He had some small cuts on his face. He did not swerve, and thought enough to duck, and no other harm was done to himself or anyone else on the road. There was another CDL driver who was with him. They drove 15 mph until they arrived at a place where they could park the truck until the glass gets replaced in the morning. This certainly is a sign that God answers prayers. I pray for our guys, that they would be safe at the jobsites, on the road and at the shop, and His hand was in this one for sure! What an end of a day. My husband and I can not let our guards down until all employees, trucks and equipment are back at the shop! One of the things we live with owning our construction business...but I can say, most generally, I love my job! I believe I am right where God wants me. |

It's all fun and games until somebody losses an eye! lol On a more serious note, I think this is a perfect example why everyone should wear safety glasses, all the time! Stay safe everyone! Big T |

I saw one of those aerial skating rinks and thought at the time... what if. I am happy that yall lived happily ever after; it could have been terrible. It would be a no-brainer for the trailer mfg's to put a mid peak in the roof of all otr trailers. |

I own a lowboy transport company, and have hauled heavy equipment now for several years....I tell my friends, the worst thing you can ever do while driving is tailgate, and especially a lowboy hauling heavy equipment. Stay back and stay safe. How about those motorcycle riders following behind bigrigs "drafting" or waiting to get around. I just keep watching out of my rear view mirror thinking, gee I hope the big clump of mud under my lowboy doesn't break loose about now.... |

When a 5foot Goodyear road alligator jumps on the front of your scooter... well that is a pretty big problem. Tailgating is Gods way of strengthening the motorcylist gene pool. |
