I'm either gett'n old and compliant or I've finally learned to accept the things I cannot change. Up until the last few years the most depressing day of every year was the day that fall sets in. Whether its the vision of seeing your breath in the morning, The handfull of dead leaves on the lawn or the empty seen a the local beach. There is always, regardless of date a certain day that summer is over. It could be the summers on end of not seeing my kids unless they were in bed or because as a parent summer is chaos! What ever it is I now embrace the change of season with open arms, Like Gods mercy. The freezer's full, The wood is stacked and I am looking forward to doing as little as possible til oh say... March. Unless ofcourse it involves the catching and killing of more food! I shoulda been a Bear. The nick-name even changes for a few months from TooTall -to- "One Job Rob". The lil volume nob turns into "dial'n for dollars" I'll make a 9:00 job last til 3:00 9 times out of 10. After winter must come spring, change always comes eventually. |
