Need some info on how much back pressure I can have on a conform double diversion valve.  Valve type # VY50HYDDD.  I have 500 foot of vertical on it now but only have 70 foot of horizontal. Getting ready to add another 100 foot to the horizontal, but I need to know if the valve will hold up to another 200 foot of vertical

The reason for the question is that I'm getting a lot of grout from around the plates when it gets shifted over.

I would address this issue to conform as well. They have an excellent support staff. From your standpoint I would be checking wear in the valve.Sometimes the simple things will help remidy a problem.

I'm not sure what the purpose of your diversion valve is, but sometimes when you route your blowout assembly directly off of the diversion valve it tweaks it which creates a pretty good leak against the big plate that shifts. One thing I've learned though is as long as you keep everything well greased it will hold up pretty good

Little money, your dv is not rated for the pressure you are putting on it, that doesnt mean it wont work, it is common practice to disassemble and clean both plates periodically.

 Hey Littlemoney,

The part number of that switcher valve is V50HYDDD & it's capable of 1500Ft/ 425m vertical!  The horizontal doesn't even matter.  You should have an Operation/ Service Manual with that piece of equipment for any adjustments or anything it may need to do the job.  If you don't have a manual, please call me at 866-652-7810 or Tom Place (in Engineering) at 262-284-7835 & we'll get you one & help you out.

Sincerely,

Tom Johnston
