I just heard that Charlie Cross passed away this evening, very sad. He was an icon and a friend in the concrete pumping industry. I will post more details when I get them.

Any story about Charlie could be and probably was true, If anyone could charm his way into Heaven it would be Charles. On the other hand, if heading south, the Devil has met his match.I was always happy to see Charlie, and he was an original. You will be missed.

I am so sad to say it is confirmed he passed away on 11/13/2009

Friday was the 13 th Many better watch out, I take it he was the owner of Cross Pumping and Sales.

"Bud" will be missed by all! He was a true pioneer to the buisness.

He was a true pioneer i remember the day when he drove up to my home Michigan with a flatbed pick and a trailer pump I was just 10 yrs old . Thanks to to my uncle Charlie and all of the Cross's I have been pumping concrete for my whole life,I owe them all who I am today a proud concrete pumper ,I will miss you uncle Bud.

I worked for Charlies brother Bill for a number of years, great people to work for.  Sorry for the families loss.  He will be missed in this industry.  Our prayers go out to him and his kids.  Sure seems like we are losing alot of the pioneers in the industry as of late.

Dear brother of Anna Pettigrew, Ruth (Jim) Martin, Esther (Joe) Vargo, William (Peggy) Cross, Michael Cross and the late David Cross, Richard Cross, Dennis Cross and Kathleen Koan. Charlie and Frank got us started back in the late 80s.  Always showed us a great time is Las Vegas and kept us in Schwings.  Gonna miss him dearly.

Terrible news for the pumping industry. My thoughts & prayers to the Cross family. I started my pumping career with Cross in Florida. Bud was one of a kind and will be missed.

I worked for "bud" in melvindale for 14 years . 1975 to 1989. I had the 39x I run now in his shop awhile back and he took me aside and said "good job when are you going to come back and work for me ". that was the last time I saw him. Thank you "bud" for all that you taught me. My prayers go out the cross family.
