A few weeks ago I attended a defensive driving school. I check this kind of thing out for the company I work for just to see if it is the type of thing that would be useful to our operators. The terrible happening in Florida made me rember the class. It is RARE that a cop can have a lasting effect on me. Having thus far been spared the jail program and the ticket program I have very little interaction with the local police. For the most part I think they are a bit pushy, but that is not what I wish to write about. This officer that was holding the class, at the end of the class as kind of a parting shot asked everyone in the room to do something every day. I will tell you what it is.Every morning, while brushing your teeth (always a good idea) just take a moment to look in the mirror. Promise that person you are looking at that: I WILL NOT HURT ANOTHER PERSON TODAYIf we would all do that for each other, and when you put on your hardhat, look at the yellow and red oval and make that promise every day, our world would be a better place. :)Thanks,Bob
