how do you get away with parked on a pedestrian crossing with the lights still in use............

The Cat 07-23-2009

there was a lane closure in place as this is one of the main roads into town with a diversion in place for the pedestrian crossing as you can see from the picture's the oss HAS been switich'd  ON so no hollywood here the computer stop's you from slewing past the center of the cab. this is a 63 putz.

Those pictures are correct! That 63m is set up right, and are designed for that type of operation if the OSS is set properly! I operate a 63m in Texas, and have had to do several set ups just like those pictures show! However my unit does not have the locking rings on the front outriggers?

Man that semi sure was haulinass down the wrong side of the road!!!

Here's the difference BigEd, The pump in Holywood had swing out front outriggers and the short side outrigger wasn't fully deployed or extended, only down. The outrigger configuration on the pump above allows them to be fully extended beyond the front of the cab which increases the stability and safe slewing radius.

The pic below is an example of Reeds Dragonfly outrigger design which is similar to the pump above...

I see some problems with street taffic that should have not been allowed. As long as you have the pump set up within the factory guide lines you are ok. Just remeber it is the operators responsibilty to know the specs and boom / outrigger chart position for the pump he is operating regardless of make. Just use that charts thats what there for . be safe
