Just want to say hello and happy 4th to every one. Im new to this site, Ive been watching and reading many of the post thats been made on variuos things. Ive been pumping since Aug, 2nd of 2000, my knowledge of pumping was nothing when I started, infact my very first question was (What is a concrete pump) thats how much I knew back then. Mel Granthem, and Carl Walker brought me on board and had me trained to run a line pump. Now with 10 years later Im still here with them and couldnt see myself working for any body else. Ive been on a Schwing 42m bout the last 8 years. .Now I ask myself why do I need this web site, why do I want to bring my work home with me? What do you guys get out of this?  Thanks.

If thats how you feel why did you bother with signing on and you already  read the topics and see what takes place and then you ask what can you expect.

Be prepaired for a lot of bullsh't.. I am still doubting if this site is a waiste of time or if its interesting. There is quite a group of guys that think they invented concretepumping and everybody that has a different opinion than them will get a lot of sad reactions. If you manage to ignore those poor individuals you might actually have some nice conversations here.  GOOD LUCK

Its actually funny.. A very important part of being a concretepumper is to have good social skils. If you don't have those you won't last long.. But some of the world champions on this site don't seem to have those at all. It makes me wonder... But the majority of the members are very nice people for as far as I can tell!!!

Its amazing how far you get being an operator when you just listen to what your Momma taught you when you were little. Be honest, please and thank you, upfront, always calm, greet and farewell the customer and 9x out of 10 they'll call ya back for another job, while your competitor with an attitude sits at home.

its always good to see someone else going through what you are or have been through .you find out its not such a big world after all.tid bits of info that help out in certain situations is always a plus.out on a job you can shoot the breeze with anyone but they have no clue to the responsibilitys you have to face all they see is a box with controlls a toy . here we all do the same thing and its good to have others to reflect with.and occasionally post a gripe.
