my 4" steel braided line blew on friday and hurt the deputy inspector, he was taken to the hospital, at the end of the day the job super checked on him and the nurse said he'd be ok, but thats gonna haunt me till the end. no warning,no overpressuring, just a loud pop, and he just happened to be walking by at the time, |

toper I'm glad you posted this and the insp is ok.It's a valuable lesson as to how quick it can happen.Look at this incident as a learning tool, you didn't plan on it happening.Remember it could have been much worse. I remember the day we lost the challenger,I had to labor help.It was boom plus about 300',can't remember exactly but a 4" ruptured next to me and a laborer.I took it from the chest up,even with safety glasses and hard hat it still cost me.You will now have a higher awarness level,a good thing. |
