I would like to take the time to remember my lil brother Chris Codoni who passed away on December 21 2009.
Chris was a fellow concrete pump operator. Chris started his pumping career at Ralphs in Seattle Wa then made his way to Brundage Bone running out of the Kent Wa yard. He was a great guy and a damn good operator. Chris was very respected by most everyone from fellow operators too management too mixer drivers and even the guys that we tend to find issues with the guys finishing the concrete being pumped. Chris was often the go to guy and often requested by contractors to be the guy that was sent for the job.
Chris loved what he did and took pride in his work and the operator he was. Chris would always say " Yup The Best Pump Operator In The World Is Here In The House". He once told a friend of ours "concrete pumping isnt a job its a way of life" If Chris had been able to put just few more years in pumping there is no doubt he could have been the best pump operator in the world.
Chris had not been working for almost a year due to health reasons that prevented him from being able to drive and operate concrete pumps. When Chris had lost his job it broke his heart and changed him and brought him down. Chris never gave up even though things seemed to get worse but sadly on December 21 2009 my baby brother was taken from us far too early at 32 years old.
He left behind wife Michelle and daughter Madison. For his viewing we dressed him in his Brundage Bone jacket we know thats what he would of wanted. Chris now will be the best pump operator in the sky RIP Lil Brother |
