An Indiana sex offender with ties to Ocala, long sought for failing to register after his release from prison, was captured Sunday in Hernando County by a Citrus County sheriff's deputy.

Larry Leonard Hohman, 48, whose address was 2607 NE 16th Ave. in Ocala, was picked up by Citrus County sheriff's Deputy Chris Culbertson in Hernando.

Hohman is charged with failure to register as a sex offender and with violating his parole.

He was sentenced in September 1999 to 10 years in prison for molesting two young boys in Indiana.

Released on parole, he was supposed to register as a sex offender.

Authorities said he violated his parole in 2005 by failing to register and was missing.

He was featured on "America's Most Wanted."

Authorities believed he might have been in Arizona, Ohio or Kentucky.

But Hohman lived in Ocala for part of the time and worked for a while at Hills Concrete Pumping, whose Ocala office has been closed for more than two years.

"I wished I would've known about this," said Danny Threet, Hohman's onetime foreman, after hearing about his arrest. "I would've turned him in a long time ago."

He described the 6-foot-5, 260-pound mechanic/laborer as "lazy."

Threet said that whenever he went on military bases, Hohman wouldn't tag along because he could not show any identification. However, Threet said, when they went on school campuses, in Alachua County and The Villages, Hohman was along for the ride.

According to the "America's Most Wanted" website, Hohman molested two boys, beat them and threatened to kill their families if they told anyone. He was accused of drugging one of the boys with a white powdery substance, which he would inject in his arm to subdue him.

Not all people with mustaches are sex offenders, but all sex offenders have mustaches.

Hey Todd, I worked for Hill's prior to this guy working there and came back to work here and there while this guy, "Jesse" was working at Hill's Concrete Pumping. I pumped for 10 years and even though I was young still had way more experience than this JOKER! If I would have none this I would have waited till I went out on a job with this guy and never came back with him, if you get my drift! Also, Hill's Ocala branch wasn't and isn't closed till this day. I was just there the other day. They have decreased in size but are still open.
