I dont know how to post this as a link but if you can copy and paste it to your browser it is a video clip of an off road, self propelled, wireless remote, detached placing boom! WTF?

I only missed the part where they show us how to get concrete through the pipes.. But my imagination tells me your suposed to conect this thing to another pump that stands on a place where the mixers also can drive.. Might even be a line pump I guess... Interesting stuff...

The idea has real potential,  however, the size of it kills it, you would need another heavy plant truck to get it to site. Needs to be built on a narrower crawler chassis to go through gateways , and if its remote then why the need for the  steering wheel and seat?

I would put that in the category with a mini placer, not used every day. It's investment wouldn't be justified in the long run.

Agree with many.. To little marked for a pump company to buy one.. It would spend most of its day at the yard rusting away.

Only way these things can be usefull is on huge projects where they can write off a good part of the machine just on that project.. Like mining, huge tunnels, oilbases etc..

done plenty of jobs where ground work is  not accessable and you run a stack of hoses off the boom pain in the neck doin columns so not a bad idea cost is obviously a key element though
