The auction was just a short time ago, already got a call from someone with a company that just bought the 61m from TX, my old pump, still says 552 on the cab. Asked if it would be ok for the new operator to give me a call. Funny how people remember you in this industry.

Know why that pump spit oil all over the place when it was pressured out down there? Just curious.

Didn't invest enough time to figure out exactly where, but somewhere on the brain. That and the waterboxes were full of grout and a lot of rocks. Hope it didn't need new barrels.

Prototype parts, she had a special set-up that got trashed when they blew the motor with it full of concrete. Think there was only a handful of people that even knew what they changed. and no one knew how to maintain it.

If memory serves me, did that pump get bought by someone in Ontario?

what type of parts and who installed?

It was a setup to prevent water from getting into the hyd. system threw the water box, changed out new cylinders for these custom ones, than when the drain holes get plugged, the seals go bad, and it sucks water into the hyd system anyway. Not sure other than talking to where it was installed, if you can even get replacement seals. Neat setup, but needed more r&d.

did the diff cylinders have holes drilled in the flanges - top and bottom

Sounds like a headache or expensive change back to OE for the new owner.

This sounds like something they tried it had some space between the seals and support bushings(chevrons) - holes where drilled in the mounting flange of the diff cylinder - it had a special one piece gland, it can easily be changed back to original design just need the two piece bushing, chevrons and seals - as for the holes just plug or weld shut. you wouldn't believe the amount of water they would push.

The holes were in a seperate air chamber inbetween the seals, wish i could find a pic of it, there was about a 3 inch space inbetween the seals. As for the oil leak, i just got off the phone with a mechanic that was working around it when it left Euless, and doesnt know what leak you were talking about.
