Well maybe they had the electric company turn off the power lines.

....unsafe acts by the Captain of a vessel ,on all waterways, are punished by suspension of Masters certificate and/or jail time..........

Extremely Unsafe. Why would you even agree to do a job with a truck / job setup like this?

well the pics look like the power lines are close. but unless you were there you need to know what the distance is. so mr perkins if you havent ran a z boom you can do it safe.  20 feet is the rule and thats the wonderful thing about z booms. and yes the power should have been shut off.

yeah that is true, I wasn't there so I really dont know. Pictures can definitely make things look weird. I have a few pictures that look like im pretty close, but im actually not.

I get it.

Looks like a trailer kit and 80 ft of hose to me, man this is how the next operator on the job gets fried. Half the job is saying no when you have to.

so did you get in trouble wi th your work place, or the website?

why dont I see a pic, 20 ft is a general rule of thumb , we are all human and most accidents happen from human/operator error, so just because you can do it , doesn't meen you should , we've all done crazy things we look back on and know we shouldnt have done , so booming a pump under or over power lines in my opinion is NEVER acceptable , Ive seen quite a few deaths from exactly this same scenario.
