Is it the pump that drives the boom with hydraulic or a separate engine ?

Moore photos and videos ! In action and when it blow out the system !

They are using the oil from the boom system that is on the pump.

Loooooooooong hoses. (simpler than aux'power)

Very very slick having that boom at the bridge level.

KCP will have a job story on their website soon.

That has to be the worlds longest trailer pump.

Let me guess; customers will expect you to run that whole rig with one man like most of you do throughout the country?

A 60 meter placing boom system is going up in Carson City, NV this week. I will post more pictures as the project progresses including the use of the 60M placing boom. It will be on Modern Marvels, and in the Guinness Record book.

KCP designed and is building it for the Civil Contractor CC Meyers.

The reason that they built this system was that the bridge decks are too tall (up to 300 ft. high, and too long, so they have to set the placing boom up twice on the smallest bridge deck.
The concrete pump will hook up to long hydraulic hoses that run up the tower mast, and control the boom movements.
Slewing will be done at the base section. The whole tower turns. The pictures of the big white thing with outriggers is the base (2 of the outriggers are not on the base yet). The hollow pins are the boom removal point. It will be removed from the truck and lifted up to the stationary head section. The head section will have a large counter weigh, and at the back of the counter weigh are large cables attached to the base section. The base section will have concrete block counter weight on it.

I do not see any counterweight on the counter-jib.

I don´t think it should be some counterweight on the counter-jib , I think the weight should be on the base... Like a small towercrane has...

Weight on the base and the cable to the counter-jib .

But it is what I think I don´t know fore sure...

It looks like they should clean the system on that pic , a pipe to the bucket of the wheel-loader .

Are they using air or water ?

Or they could put the boom in a more vertical position and suck back a sponge into the hopper with some over flow. Instead that man standing there with compressed air is an accident waiting to happen.

seems to be a lot of bend in the mast

Just so you know JV KCP did not send me this or any info. I found the pictures on another web site, some guy name Don took the pictures and put them up on his web site. KCP is a sponsor and its not an ad.  Anytime one of my sponsors does something cool we talk about it. Putz who is not a sponsor gets their pumps on here all the time like the 70m and sometimes i let them stay up and sometimes I take them off, but KCP supports this site and what they are doing is something very new. I wish KCP had sent me info, specs, pictures and job info but I have not gotten anything from them on this.

Hello

This is Young one of the engineers from KCP who helped design this structure for CC Myers Inc.  I like to thank CC Myers for giving KCP the opportunity to build, design and engineer such a project!  If anyone should have any questions regarding this structure I will be more than happy to answer them.  I hope to have more pictures posted by the end of the week.
