All Mack with 1 TOR (Looks like a Mack but it doesn't compare).  Even with all their problems; upity dealers who fail to stock parts and take a week to work on your rig; the MR Mack is the only truck made that can take the years of abuse dished out daily by the crazy looking contraption it carries on it's back.  I speak from experiance.  Learn from the mistakes of others instead of on your own.

We run all Macks, with the exception of our Frost Law Legal 32 meter SCHWINGS, 2006 Sterlings, 410 H.P. Mercedes Benz with Auto Tranny, I run one of 3 that we have, Awesome Truck!!!!

MR 688! They say every other brand wares out long before the pump is ready to quit. I saw one on those Peterbilts that looks like a bus from the inside. Lame!! The springs were crushed and the front would drag going into bad sites.. Also who can afford too loose 8' from a non cab over. GO MACK!!

The ready mix people travel the same ground we do every day. We go to the job once, they make many trips to that same job. Aside from the very important 'reach over the cab' aspect we have the worst driving, worst riding, worst interior, worst shifting, LOUDEST FAN NOISE, TRUCKS IN THE WORLD!!! Mack used to be a tough American truck. All that is left is the tough, and by some of the problems we have even that is in question.

YES, my pump would need to be mounted on a MR. Not because I like them, but because they have become the industry standard. I wish they would take some of their money and fix the problems we all have every day and make them not only tough, but a better place to spend the driving time. Like maybe let TOYOTA build the cab. ;~)

Good points Bob, on the money. Those fans!! Who's idea was that? they should redesign the things. Pumping is loud enough without a turbo prop cooling system!!

mack does have a kit to reduce fan noise, we just got a new putz and the fan was one of the problems withit but we just got it taken care of. they change the clutch and a different pitch fan.

All our pumps are on Mack chassis. Our newest is on an '05 Granite setback, the next newest two are on '96 RD's, and mine is on an '84 MR.

Unless you want to retruck in 8 to 10 years, you have to put a Mack under that pump. Yes they ride a little ruff. They don't heat or cool the cab very well. But they will still be there years down the road.
