didnt watch all of it but a statement was made that operator with his cowboy hard hat is whats wrong with this industry , boy were making a big assumption on his hardhat never did that before the one thing that bothers me not just on this video but I see operators all the time with no safety glasses I do not understand what theyre thinking , but the hardhat atleast he was wearing one , now the hose at the chest I didnt see if that was cowboy or not so I will not assume.

Thanks Todd. Enjoyed the video. Reminded me of 11 floors I did in Charlottesville, Va. Not gonna comment on the the replies although I think I saw a double ended hose at the end of the video when they were pouring a wall. Keep up the great work bud!!!

hose is easier to push that way. it's a soft end so i don't see the problem. because i tell you what, i hate the guys who hug that thing and keep it a foot off of the ground and expect you to walk him that way without pushing him around. that picture is an example of a hose man I want to work with.

Every so often you get a hose man like this, just a fact of life.It sure put a operator on pins and needles. He was either trained wrong or just lazy but it happens.

We have yet to hear any opinions from our own safety team.I wonder what it may provide? I can say showing up on a deck pour and trying to save the world is an impossibility. To correct any discrepincies it's better handled in the office.

yes ROB W it IS better that way! first off, it's way more accurate, less high/low spots that the rake men have to deal with because the hose man sees the grade better. secondly, it's easier to get out of the way if there's a surge. think about it, if all you got is the tip coming at you it's easier to avoid as opposed to all ten feet of that sucker coming at you. thirdly, why don't you try to give that hose a shove where you like it just once, and then pick it up and push it from the tip.
but seeing as you're the best operator ever, you shouldn't need a hose man. a good hose man pushes the hose away from him so he doesn't get covered in mud, as opposed to the guy who stands above it and is covered 10 yards into the pour. my opinion.

Putz63 Rob is being sarcastic, sometimes its hard to understand sarcasm on a message board but believe me he is joking.
