What is the most yardage on a single job any of you have done with lean fill? Flowable fill, whatever you wanna call it? I pumped 220 yards yesterday about 600 yds today scheduled for 800 to a 1000 yards pretty much everday next week and beyond.

600-800 yds per night for 2 months encasing new fuel depot lines at DIA.

All this lean fill is to backfill for a building. A total of about 54,000 yards is going to be used. Someone decided its cheaper than using dirt and doing compaction lifts.

love that stuff. it was called fillcrete where i pumped it.  got like 5mpa in it,  sand, flyash and a little cement for color.  give her a fat drink and watch it bleed.

i think it way more effeciant then back fill and compaction.  pumped as fast as it can be delivered, placed as thick as need be.  no hose man required when boomed!!!  how isn't cheaper then back fill.

makes a hell of a mess

Actually when one figures in transportation of an acceptable fill, equipment time, labor costs, compaction tests flow fill is a viable option.

On the DIA project they simply spray painted grade on the bank and away we went, here too no hose man. They used a lean mix and heavy mix depending if traffic was to go over the lines.

For the most part at the airport it was sandy so that's what they used, field dirt/sand and up to I think 1 3/4 sack flyash. It pumped like mom's hot oatmeal and was a fun project.

Enjoy your new found wealth in flow fill.
