Maybe you should try learning something from some of these guys.  It sounds like you're as big of an incompitent fool as the contractor and employer you work for.  Asking how many times someone's been left alone to clean gear is an empty question.  Of course, we all have been left alone.  So, some guys figure out solutions to cleaning gear and make the situation liveable...work smarter, not harder.

You said you didn't want to learn anything.  Why?

You claim to have "30 years experience".  It's obvious that you need some training.  You're injured and I'm not.

SO...I went and read "Daddy-o's" responce and Thats the right answer?? "many many many times been left alone" thats the right aanswer to your question?? WOW!!

I like RAYMONDS WAY better I kind of do the same thing except I use a ball,a bucket and use to of the contractors bull float handles to push the ball thru, then pile the hoses next to the edge of the building then make the contractor fly them down,I can't believe you would watch them throw the hoses off the building.I guess they do the same with clamps and gaskets too??

And if they don't like the way I do it they can fly the hoses down and have a laborer go and wash the hose OR I can go and do it myself .You have to make the contractor understand that you cant have dirty system laying around for a few hours...NO BUENO!!!!

I have had subs trow hoses and clambs off the side,I go and get my ticket have them sign off for damages to the systems,so they can be backcharged for it,also if no one cleans them on the ground I stop pumping to go do it, it does not take long before they put some one on it,if your not pumping,as far as being left alone,as long as it takes ,whatever it takes,do your job your a professional, and the customer the one paying the bill, for your service ang any damages they create.

Finisher, sounds like you're just another jerkoff trying to lay at home making L&I and your boss apparently knows it.  Whenever a class act gets hurt on the job, there's never any grievances or lawsuits, just sympathy.  The boss tells you that you still have a job when you get better, and wishes you a speedy recovery.  Whenever a snake in the grass gets hurt on the job, obviously the employer questions whether or not you got hurt on the job, or if you got hurt playing ball on the weekend.  You've been doing this thirty years and you ask that question?  Have you always been bitch made or are you just a bitter old man?

Im always laughing joking and helping the placers. i go out of my way to make sure they are taken care of. at the end of the pour, theres a group of guys around me and the truck and they all want to help out.

Maybe instead of looking what others can do for you, maybe if you look inside and find what you can do for them might fix your pain.

sounds as though to me "i wasnt trying to learn anything" hell you already know it all, except how to get over on your boss sounds like he knows you pretty well, might wanna look around when your doing shit a hurt man shouldnt be doing cause there is private eyes getting ready to come down on you might wanna start opening your mind and start learning again cause contrary to what you might think , you do not know it all you just think you do and thats always a recipe for disaster, 20 years still learning the day I stop learning is the day I go 6 ft under,so while you are waiting on that next check maybe think about going back to school cause around here we'll learn you something

Damn you guys are quick to jump on the A$$hole ban waggon! Y'all are gettin faster than Me!

Alone and scared in the dark with the daunting task of actually having to do your job. AAAAAHHHhhhhhh...

Chiminey sweep rods work good too, Those gnarly brushes will clean crap out of a hose at 7:00pm that got busted off at 7:00am! Its like a giant gun cleaner and Raymonds is the barrel swab, pulling works alot better than pushing it.

Daddy-o,

I dont think any one disagrees but the fact of the matter is it happens and we are who we are.Our job is to man up and handle the situation in the safest most professional manner possible,And a little thought makes the situation alot easier to deal with.
