My little girl got ill and ended up in hospital, so I went and visited her after work, as I walked in the main entrance doors of the RBCH I spotted this LEGO building and thought it looked really familiar. She ended up coming home and was fine the next day. And the LEGO building is Mater Children's Hospital that I have helped build since 2010.

Glad to hear your daughter is better! This is why we do what we do- for the KIDS the FAMILY. Attached is a photo of a LEGO PUMP from a few years ago. We were on family vacation at Disney (that's why the funky tiger headboard) and our little buddy got sick so he could not go out and see the sights. He was miserable and sad that he was missing Mickey and the gang so after some quick thinking we whipped up a "52 millimeter" concrete pump. It was complete with outriggers and hopper. We had the mixer, Gator, and wagon already packed like you do when you travel with kids. A lot of yards went through that 52mm lego machine over the next few days and I still have the photo on my wall. Every morning at O-dark-thirty and every evening kiss them kids (and mother). They need it and they are watching and learning. |
