I see you also have some plastic 'Hose Sleds' to keep the clamps out of the rebar....pretty slick!!  A lot easier than manhandling that heavy larger diameter hose.  Maybe one guy with a hook to be a bit of a hose wrangler when it's more convenient than dropping the hose with the Dragon.

Pretty cool tank, these machines are proving themselves over and over again. Im sure the guys on the other side of the bridge dragging those hoses by hand were eye balling the line dragon wishing they had a set also Laughing

I would love to have a line dragon... When I'm pouring with amatures... The real pro's don't need one and have NO heavy work on handling a 5'' hose at all.. As long as you know how. But I must admit there are not many that know how to do it without breaking a drop of swet..

There is definitely a technique to handling hose.  You can bust your ass fighting with it, or you can figure out the easy way.  Line Drgaons justr happen to be another easy way.

Call it easy.. It's not like you chuck them on the back of your pumptruck in the morning. You will need a seperate truck+driver. Maybe a crane to get them in place. Fuel, maintenance etc etc.. But if the customer wants to pay for it.. He who am I. In that case its GREAT

It all about the $$$.  This crew had 5 men pulling the hose, even if the labor only cost them $35 per hour, that's $175 per hour. If they can rent the Line Dragon from there local concrete pumper for $125 per hour ( that's more then most pumpers get for a trailer pump ) then why not.plus believe it or not these machines are faster and safer then dragging hose by hand.
If I  can make $ renting a trailer pump out for $100 per hour then I should be able to with the Dragons. Yes they do take gas and maintenance and ect ect... I can run the dragons for 10 hours on 5 gallons of gas for  $18.25  That's less then I would pay a labor of 1 hour. The line Dragons do not need workers comp, paid vacation, paid holidays, sick days, or unemployment.

We did one job where they had 5 men pulling 50 feet of 4 inch hose, they where placing between 10 to 15,000 sq in about 6 hours. We demoed the Line Dragons for them and started to do between 20 to 32,000 sq in the same time. The best pour on this job we did 27,000 Sq in 4.5 Hours.

I know there are crews out there that do line pours with 2 or 3 men and pour very fast, my hats off to them. I would still like to show them how easy and safe ( and just as fast ) the Line Dragons can do it
Thank You
Tank

p.s. I see your from Norway. I have multiple machines in Europe, If you are interested in seeing them let me know.

TANK: It was mainly the transport to and from the pour I am thinking about. That cost quite a lot..

The guys I know that are so good to handle the hose do it with 2 men. One on front to guide the stream.. The other one to make the hose go backwards. They are such artists they almost never realy have to pull the hose. Its more like directing it. The hose will go back from its self by the strokes. They even in most cases have to stand on the hose to keep it in place.

But I totaly agree that if you don't have these artist on the hose and still have to do a big poor with 5'' its realy a huge advantage to have these machines... Great invention!!

The plastic hose sleds are very nice, They seem to slide a lot easer and are easer to handle

Yes there are a few crews that can make it look so easy but not very many.
