ok now that it is final that i will be getting into the pumping biz  i am going to start small  line pumps. now i am doing reasearch and there are so mamy pumps and im sure i will get tions of different brands that are the best, but if you have the time i would apreciate your input on a particular brand. i will be buying used. for instance i found this pump which i am reall thinking of buying but me and my partner said we are going to wait a month and look at every pump we can find that seems reasonanble as to not make impulse buy on the first pump we see..

here is the first pump i am going to go check out on wed. what are your thoughts if any.

A 2002 OLIN 5/65 pump  is had a new cummins diesel engine put in in 2006 comes with 150ft of hose reducers for $11,000 i may be missing something  but if you guys have any input on what i should be checking for on a used pump i would aapreciate it thanks

The Olin pumps are very good.  Very inexpensive to run and easy to replace wear parts compared to other pumps.  No grease fittings to worry about either.  Being a ball valve pump they do like a good mix though and you are limited to small rock.  Who wants to drag a 3 or 4" hose around though for pumping big rock.  I use 100% 2.5" hose with my Olin.

Just a funny thought but don't let them trick you when they say 150'' hose and then they keep the clambs themselves..

An old 1408 putz might be the go..... look at it as an option I think you would be a lot more versitile and if the work is a bit slow it might be that edge you have to keep you going.
