so I've never pumped grout before, can I reduce it fast off the truck? I have a 5/3 reducing elbow and am wondering if thats to fast, also what kind of slump? I have an interesting job for possibly the next year or so pumping grout for utilitys and other stuff.... just looking for advice on this stuff, cant imagine its anything else but easy unless it takes off in my hopper.... I'll be pumping 200'.... 20' thru proper pump hose off my truck then connected 200' of sch 80 plastic.... I'm imagining it as slick line

I pump loads of grout mine is 4 inch to 3 inch reducing elbow the I have a 3 inch to 2 1/2 inch X 18 inch straight reducer then a 18 inch 90degree elbow where I hook up my hose I like to pump at a 7 inch slump and I only pump 4,000 psi or higher grout, sometimes we have had the grout with a flat slump meaning to much water, Aball valve pump does it the best cause a s-ture builds up inside the s-tube faster.

Sched 80 PVC is not likely capable of handling the pressure from his pump and could burst, causing injury.

SCH 80 is about 1/2 inch thick, I would check the psi rating before hand, I don't think there is a fitting for PVC to hook a hose up to, are they leaving the pvc in the ground.

I wouldn't start pumping it until ALL the grout was onsite. You stop for any length of time.... you are screwed. I really wouldn't use anything but rubber or steel. I believe someone could learn a hard & expensive lesson pumping thru anything else.

the pvc will be used as spacers from an old concrete 30" pipe to an updated 20" pipe running thru the middle of it, the only exposed part of the sch80 2" is a female fitting of which I have the other portion that connects to the pump hose, I'm guessing pump slow? like I said its an interesting job... everything is underground, my hose will be in a manhole with no one near it, also pumping downgrade 2%

Had my fiasco last week.  We had "2" 60" pipes with a 48" inside at 120' long each. All was against us from the start.  It was raining like cats and dogs.  We were trying to work and walk on a wet slick clay hill.  We glued all 120' together in the rain with wet or dry cement and slipped it into the void.  We glued the male 2" fitting on and flushed out the pvc pipe with water.  Set up the second one next.  Now we were pumping a 4000 psi pea gravel mix.  We pumped about a yard and before I could flip the switch, off she blew.  The threaded male broke and several section of joints came apart.  We hooked up to the second one and it did pretty good for a while.  The pvc started bowing up and backing out.  We were pumping very slow and easy but were not able to get it to stay.  I have done this before but only 30 or 40 feet in abandoned sewer lines with grout.  But what should have been the first place to hook up to went great.  The sealed end of this system had a steel plate bolted to the concrete wall and a 2" nipple with a ball valve and pressure gauges.  The engineer was scared of force on the bolt so he put gauges and I wanted a back up hook up. We removed the valves and hooked our 2.5" hose to that and pumped 33 yards to fill it up until it came out the other end in a complete circle.  They slapped a form up and we pressured up until we had good mud coming out. Repeated it on the second and left.  So that's my story.  Some times it works, some times id does not but always have a back up plan.  Like what was said the only exposed pvc was the fitting at the entrance of the fill pipe.

who's best on grout? I don't know many folks here.... my job in question figures 5 1/2 yards of pro-flo 2" mix "pflolp" was just informed there will be a vacuum on the other end to ensure no voids where some of the pips are only 50' this will allow a void to be filled so no movement on the 20" pipe

I need more info on what you are trying to do and what mix that is.  This is the type of stuff I do all the time.  Can you sketch and mail a diagram of what you have.  If you have the right mix it will become a solid plug you are pushing displacing all trash and air in the line you are filling.  The longest push I had was 80 yards at 1.5 miles from 1 hook up location.
