I had the pleasure of doing 3 1/2 yards of 8 sack grout with a little 3/4 rock in it to pour sonos on the underside of a modular house today. I put 65' of 2 1/2 inch hose on a 32m boom. I could not find any single ended hoses at our yard befor I left, so (and only because of the influance of this site) I called the boss and ask him if I could cut a 25 footer down to make 2 tip hoses. He agreed, and when I showed up to the job, the two guys I poured for had a 45 degree light plastic elbow like you would use on rain drain. We taped it on the end of the tip hose (wish I had a picture to post cuz it worked great). Under the house, there was only 2 feet 8 inches head room of crawl space to work in. The I stayed outside and listend for my truck and the hose in case of a plug, while communicating with the hose man via radio. Got the 26 sonos pumped out in just under 3 hours!!! I guess sometimes you make money on a big pour and in todays hard time you sit and let it slow stroke all the way to the bank. Pump On! (and off and on and off and on...) |
