how many pumps in a row? |

I assume that it´s impossible to pump that pipeline-distance with only one pump, so i´m also interested of how many pumps which were involved. And i have one thought, How did the concrete look like when it was transported in that long steel-pipeline in that heat you have in India? |

in france we pumped a tunnel with a linepump every 300 meters using 125mm lines. electrical schwing linepumps 190KVA/pump to keep the air breathable in the tunnel. |

The company my wife worked for recently did a 2500m push with schwing 5000! Hers a pic of the pump and the little train used to cart pipes! |

One single Putzmeister BSA2100 (330KW Engine) was used. It was placed directly under the batching plant. Special additive Glenium from BASF was used, concrete used 500kg of cement per 1000ltr. Pipeline was 125mm and yes concrete lost its slump a lot in the process, 200/collapsible at the start of pumping and 80/90 at the end. This was used to do HRT lining for a Hydro Power Tunnel in India with a finished dia of only 3.5m. We had to secure the pipeline in a good way before we could proceed. The photo shows concrete pump, it was only in the erection stage, excavator there was cleaning up something and later removed. We used a transit mixer truck as a buffer between plant and pump and it served well. |

Thats cool!! Of course its possible. If they can pump 700 meters vertical than 2000 horizontal should work is my guess. |

I´m very impressed. Incredible to pump 2000 m pipeline and just use one pump for the hole line. |

cool shots! is that a Putz 2109 or 2110 model? |

Its a BSA2110HPD model. I am sorry I mentioned it as 2100 model in my earlier post. Initially we faced some problems due to quality of sand at site but we were able to get over that. i understand its longest distance concrete pumping in India. |

How do you clean the delivery pipes after using?, do you have some pictures?. You have done a very good work with this pump.
Thanks in advance |

It is possible. It all depend's on two things. 1st the pump, 2nd the mix design. I have never gone that far before, only 1500' but I really had fun, and we blow every thing like that out with air. |

We cleaned it forward with water. We kept additional invert formwork ready for concrete expected during cleaning. We pumped water with separation media between concrete and water and trap basket in the end of the pipeline so water is not mixed with concrete in the formwork. Later, we took the water out of the pipeline by letting it fow out by natural gradient of tunnel. |
