Bri,

really happy for you with so many hours, have enjoyed your posts ( especially pictures ) over the years. It's obvious you "" love '' your job, and take the extra precautions to do a safe job the right way !!!!

However,  just wondering why the co. you represent is so busy,   is it because of pricing, or some other reason.  Wouldn't it be better for you and the rest of the operators in the US to make the same money for a 40 hour week?????

Just wondering if the salesman ( or woman ) who sells your  jobs are paid a percentage of gross sales(probably )   or gross profit (probably NOT )?

G-man the company that Bri represents has been around a long time and do what they do very well. I think its got alot more to do with ability and reputation vs. how or what their sales department is paid.

IMHO,    just wondering why you responded unless you know personally the pricing and business strategy of "" the company he represents""

Please reread my post,     wouldn't it be great if everyone of bri's ability and love of his job could work just forty hours a week and still get the same paycheck for the hours he just worked?????     Personal opinion, but operators of pumps in the US   ( from the smallest trailers to the largest booms ) are grossly underpaid for the liability we assume when we strap on a remote, for the ability and talent we have, and for the experience we have, and compared to some of the other trades we work next to on job sites !!!!

Wal Mart is one of the largest companies in the USA, however NO ONE has every accused them of being high price, if anything they have pretty much cornered the market on low price ( cheap ).

Hate to disagree but pricing is a large reason why they are busy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we have some excellent salesmen that attack the market here at the atl. pumpco.  all of them were ex- operators and know what it was like to be out there and havn't forgotten where they came from.   everyday they are out there bustin there's so we can do the same.  man,  i appreciate everything those guys do to get us work.  and one thing i know there not doing is cutting prices.  it's a very loyal market here.  i've been on jobs before and the super has told me that  "the reason we got the job was we did such a good job last time" or "man, i've been friends with john forever".

as far as under paid,  i totally agree.  i think we should get paid for 40 what we get paid for 65.  but in a world where atheletes get paid millions and movie stars can make 80,000,000.00 in 6 months, man, i'm just a squirrel trying to get a nut.  just like them, God has given me a talent that pays my bills and in this day  and age i am forever greatful for that.

Gee-man, The company that Bri represents has been around a long time and do what they do very well. I think alot of their work is based on ability and reputation..........................................respect, respect, thats all?

Of course we're "under paid"...   come on now?
