I took soapy water and sprayed it on my turbo (when cool and running). I found a crack on the exhaust side of the snail housing. I had to buy a new turbo (midwest equipment) $900. Now my motor runs great, no more smoking, and lots more power.

Take the weather cap off of air intake and see if it still whistles. Sometimes, weather cap can get stepped on and they collapse.

I ONCE HAD A HEAD GASKET REPLACED AND SOMETHING GOT INTO THE TURBO AND IT WAS GONE IN ABOUT A WEEK THEY ARE LUBRICATED BY OIL SO MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE YOUR OIL
