You must look at the problem from a management standpoint. You have a fixed number to things like building pmnt’, insurance, taxes; all sorts of things that you have committed to long term. You have a variable in sales [income] and a labor cost [money out]. When the sales drop………. How do you lower your cost? Get rid of the people that were doing the work – the work is gone, so the people need to go too. But whatever you do, don’t get rid of the executives that couldn’t see the writing on the wall two years ago. That would be un-American. |

locally here we have alot of recreation vehical manufactors that have been upside down all year. that means stock loss and borrowing capital for a bandaid to retore confidance but its just not a long term solution. cutting back to meet the true demand is where its at. today ford is selling off 20% of mazda, tomarrow it could be something else. thats how it goes. |

Eugene...... rock on buddy! I'd bet I'm your biggest fan. Some how everything you say cracks me the F#!k up! No matter what the topic is, your two cents is always the most amusing. Is it all original material or do you have writers? |

“True demand†now there is a relative for you. When things were golden, the demand was true for that time in history. Lord only knows what the true demand is now, or in the future. How is it measured and how do you prepare for it? Baron de Rothschild once voiced the opinion; ‘When there's blood on the streets, buy property’. I don’t think we are there………. Yet. |
