ive heard about using these double elbows. ill refuse to put in on and if thats not good enough, ill fold up and leave. i thinks it unsafe to go that way. the 4 inch hose will have to be good enough. if this means me losing my job, so be it.

I say SAFE only because we havent had any accidents with them and hope never will its with 5 double no reduction inspectors will not sign anything and the boom configuration I think has a lot to do with it also but inspectors dont have a clue thanx

I use a S Tube on the end of my 4 hose. It is home made from (2) 90 degree elbows with a 6 long piece of pipe between the elbows to give it some length and then 6 straight pipe at the end. It works so much better than the Putzmeister Pour Pin. I have worn out pour pins in little time at all. When the pour pin is new it works great. After a couple weeks it gets worn out. I have been told that the S tubes are dangerous and not allowed. I personally would like to not use it. If someone has fact on this matter stating it is not allowed I will get rid of it....but it sure works nice especially when pouring stem walls and piers.
