I was heading to my pump job and seen a metered concrete truck pulling a putz trailer pump. Has anyone seen this done before or is this a new thing? Sorry I was heading North and it was heading south so i could not get any pics. Hay maybe I can hook a 14' box trailer to my pump so i can haul my Line Dragons. "not" |

I've seen a VM truck pulling a trailer pump. the trailer pump was backwards, so that the auger would feed into the hopper. It was a slab-jacking set-up. |

No this is not a new thing, it has been around for quite awhile. Where this end of the market capitalizes on is the homeowner who wants say 1/2 to 1 yard and, only pays for the concrete they use. Which is really something that works business wise. I have pumped Vor, VolumeMeteric through a boom and, didnt like it much. What I pumped was too low on rock and, was like trying to clean off a beach in the hopper. It settled very fast but, luckily for me my last truch was a standard mixer and, mix on the last load, the last time I pumped it. For a trailer or grout pump it would be a good thing. |
