All we use out here is 4". I should clarify 5" only when we don't trust the concrete companies mix.

We used to use 3.5"---- in Denver

                         but

Here in Cold-Lanta we use 5"

              different concrete

never heard of that ? always use 4" somtimes I have even used 3"in short length. That was a 6.5 sack w/ 30 gallons of site set.
